Job summary

Suntex Marinas in Brick Township, NJ is seeking a Service Technician - Green Cove to carry out marina service operations and maintain vessels. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, assist customers with technical questions, and project a professional image while working in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Marine Service Technician Diploma or certification, knowledge of marine service, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Marine Service Technician Diploma or certification required.
• Knowledge or related experience in the marine service industry.
• Excellent customer service skills – known as someone who goes above and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all mechanical and electrical problems on respective boat, motors, and trailers.
• Assist customers by answering specific technical questions to help the customer understand the operation of the unit and the work to be done or work already completed.
• Maintains awareness of safety issues and reports them immediately to supervisor.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

POSITIONPURPOSE:

The Service Technician is responsible for carrying out service operations for the marina.The Service Technician’s primary responsibility is the customer, and the maintenance and service of their vessel.The Service Technician projects a professional company image through all types of interaction.As this is a fast-paced environment, must be able to work under pressure.

DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Troubleshoot,diagnose,andrepairallmechanicalandelectricalproblemsonrespectiveboat,motors,andtrailers.
• Assistcustomersbyansweringspecifictechnicalquestionstohelpthecustomerunderstandtheoperationoftheunitand the work to be done or work already completed.
• Maintainsawarenessofsafety issuesandreportsthemimmediatelyto supervisor
• All otherdutiesas assignedbymanagement

Education and experience:

• MarineServiceTechnician Diplomaorcertification required
• Knowledgeorrelated experiencein themarineserviceindustry
• Excellentcustomerserviceskills –known assomeonewhogoesaboveand beyond

WORKINGCONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Mustbeabletoindependently lift,carry,push,andpullupto fifty(50)pounds
• Mustbeabletoswimorbewilling towearapersonal flotationdevicein instances of emergency
• Mustbeabletowalkoutsideinavarietyofweather conditions(rain, wind,heat)
• Must have flexible schedule to include working weekends and holidays during busy season.

Wage range

$26.00 - $40.00
