Job summary

Suntex Marinas is seeking a Service Manager in New Jersey to lead service and repair sales, managing daily workloads, scheduling, and supervision of all site service operations. Responsibilities include coordinating service crews, mentoring staff, and ensuring quality metrics and policy adherence.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s or higher in engineering or project management with 5–10 years of related experience; OEM training is a plus and a sales-driven mindset is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or advanced degree in engineering or project management.
• Five to ten years related progressive experience and/or training.
• Factory OEM Training and Certification is a plus.
• Ability to work in a sales-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate the activities of all service crew members.

Job description

Position Purpose

The Service Manager is responsible to promote the department service and repair sales, managing team member daily workloads, project scheduling and supervision of all sites daily service operations, including service administration and purchasing. The Service Manager interacts with all vendors and sub-contractors utilized during regular business activity and continuously seeks to improve purchasing power and sell through margins.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate the activities of all service crew members
• Develop the service team skillsets, develop training programs and provide direct hands-on mentoring when required
• Monitors team performance, production, efficiency and quality metrics to ensure that goals are met and supporting overall team quality and training efforts
• Ensures adherence to departmental and/or operations policies, procedures and practices

Supervisory Responsibility

Direct supervision of service technicians, service administration staff, yard and general labor. Supervise any and all sub-contractors utilized by the site directly or indirectly.

Education And Experience

• Bachelor or advanced degree in engineering or project management desired.
• Five (5) to ten (10) years related progressive experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Factory OEM Training and Certification a plus.
• Ability to be comfortable in a sales driven environment requiring both inside and outside efforts to achieve goals.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to thirty (30) pounds
• Must be able to climb stairs, both indoors and outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat)
• Must have flexible schedule to include working weekends and holidays during busy season

Wage range

$50,000 - $70,000
