John Jones Auto Group in Scottsburg, Indiana, is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our growing Service Department in a fully heated and air-conditioned shop. Qualifications

• Experience as automotive technician; dealership experience preferred.
• ASE certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues
• Complete repairs and maintenance including brakes, suspension, engine, transmission, heating/AC, electrical systems, and drivability concerns
• Conduct multi-point inspections and document findings clearly
• Perform manufacturer-recommended services and warranty repairs
• Communicate effectively with Service Advisors regarding repair needs, parts requirements, and timelines
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety protocols, dealership procedures, and manufacturer guidelines
• Test-drive vehicles to confirm repairs
• Stay current on training, certifications, and new automotive technologies
