Job summary

Veregy is seeking a Service Technician - Chiller - HVAC in Dallas, TX to operate, maintain, and repair chiller systems and related HVAC equipment across commercial and industrial sites. The role emphasizes hands-on diagnostics, safe operation, and independent field work.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or GED with 3+ years of experience in chiller/HVAC systems, and preferably NATE certification. Travel is not extensive; strong safety practices are required.

  • High School diploma or GED, or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years minimum experience operating, maintaining, and repairing commercial and industrial chiller systems and HVAC equipment required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and repairs all types of chiller systems including air and water cooled for both commercial and industrial.
  • Diagnoses and repairs electronic, mechanical, and electrical components in all types of chiller systems including HVAC heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilating systems in commercial and industrial sites.
  • Diagnoses, services, and repairs hydronic pumps.
  • Repairs EMCS and building control systems.
  • Repairs, troubleshoots and maintains packaged and split systems.
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs various makes and models of equipment.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of central plants and hydronic systems operation.
  • Maintains accurate and complete invoices, paperwork and other procedures to company standards.
  • Maintains the highest safety standards while working on the job.
  • Performs daily work duties associated with the trade with little to no supervision in the field.

Summary of Position Functions

The Service Technician - Chiller - HVAC performs skilled work in the operation, maintenance, and repair of chiller systems of all types. The primary responsibility will be chiller systems but also working on other HVAC systems may be required from time to time.

  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Ability to follow blueprints and understand technical instructions.

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment, adapts easily to changes to planned tasks or schedules, works well under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time/workload.
