Job summary

C & B Operations has grown to 38 John Deere dealerships in 6 states and currently seeks a Service Technician for our Chamberlain, South Dakota location. You will diagnose, service, repair and maintain customer and dealer-owned agricultural equipment.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree in Diesel Technology or related field and a willingness to grow through training programs. Strong teamwork and safety practices are essential in this role at our growing dealership network.

Qualifications

• Associates or better in Diesel Technology or related field, preferred.
• Ability to meet physical demands and perform extensive manual tasks.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of repair methods for machinery, engines and related equipment.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Ability to work overtime to meet customer demands.
• Valid Driver's License and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on agricultural farm equipment.
• Participates in Training programs required for development of skills and knowledge.
• Completes all job notes required with work assignments.
• Accounts for all time on a digital timecard and material used.
• Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Maintains a clean work area and orderly fashion.
• Promotes and sells service department to customers including service work, inspections, and parts.
• Follows all safety procedures and works safely.
• Assists with other duties as assigned.

C & B Operations has grown to 38 John Deere dealerships in 6 states. We currently have an opening for a Service Technician for our John Deere dealership location in Chamberlain, South Dakota. This individual will perform diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment.

Essential Duties

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on agricultural farm equipment

Qualifications

• Associates or better in Diesel Technology or related field, preferred
• Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair of machinery, engines and other related equipment
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability for critical thinking and resourcefulness to complete tasks
• Willingness to learn and train in new technologies
• Ability to work overtime to meet customer demands
• Valid Drivers License and a safe driving record
