Job summary

Peach State Truck Centers is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Truck Technician to service class 5 through class 8 trucks and RVs. The role covers hydraulic clutch/brake, driveline, electrical systems, and diagnostics, following OEM guidelines.

A valid GA CDL, A/C certification, and three ASE Heavy Duty Truck Certifications are required. Responsibilities include extensive use of hand and power tools, maintaining accurate work orders, passing background checks, and ensuring work quality and

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty truck systems.
• Requires valid CDL license for GA and A/C certification.
• Three ASE Heavy Duty Truck Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs hydraulic clutch, hydraulic brake, driveline, and electrical systems on trucks.
• Performs maintenance and repairs per OEM guidelines and work orders.
• Uses hand and power tools, welders, jacks, and pressure gauges to complete tasks.
• Ensures accurate time punches and adherence to warranty procedures.
• Test drives trucks to verify repairs and diagnose issues.
• Maintains clean work area and protects customer vehicles during service.

Position Summary

Responsible for performingHydraulic Clutch,Hydraulic Brake,Driveline,Basic Cab and Chassis Electrical,Transmission Remove and Replace, Clutch diagnose and replace,Spring Suspension Repair,Exhaust System, Diagnostics and Repair Air Sys on trucks from class 5 through class 8 vehicles and recreational vehicles per OEM and company guideline.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs various truck systems using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists.
• Ensures that repairs are completed with complete and accurate manner as per supervisor or work order instructions.
• Maintains correct time punches and work order processes.
• Maintains efficiency standards and attendance policy as required.
• Tags all parts as required and follows all warranty procedures set for the by each OEM
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly.
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges
• Keeps work area clean and free of debris.
• Keeps customer vehicle clean during repair process and after repairs are complete.

• Must complete 100% of on-line Freightliner Technician Training to become Systems Certified in Cascadia, M-2, Western Star, DT12, Detroit Axles, CNG Systems
• Possess valid A/C certification

• Possess 3 valid ASE HEAVY DUTY TRUCK Certifications

• Possess a valid CDL license for the state of Georgia and valid A/C certification
