Job summary

Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) is hiring for a hands-on role in West Albany, NY. The position involves fueling and cleaning buses, and maintaining division facilities.

You will move buses to bays or wash racks and perform other duties as assigned by the foreperson. Requirements include a High School Diploma/GED, a clean driver’s license with no major violations, and a willingness to obtain a CDL-B permit after starting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Clean, valid driver’s license with no excessive violations.
• Willingness to obtain a CDL-B permit after starting.

Responsibilities

• Fuel and clean buses.
• Maintain facilities at divisions (bathrooms, common areas, lawn, etc.).
• Move buses to designated bays or through wash rack.
• Perform other duties as assigned by foreperson.

Skills

Valid driver’s license

2 years driving Class D

CDL-B permit (willing to obtain)

Job Duties:

• Fueling and cleaning buses

• 2 consecutiveyears of driving with a Class D (standard) driver’s license
• Clean and valid driver’s license (no excessive speed violations, DWI’s, DUI’s or DWAI’s)
• Willing to get CDL-B permit (will also get license after starting)
• Willing to work 2nd/3rd shift, weekends and holidays

Compensation:

Starting Salary: $22.39/hr.
Top Rate for this position is $26.33/hr.
Top Rate is achieved after 1.5 years.
