Clayton Homes is seeking a Service Technician Apprentice to learn and perform common home repair skills while delivering exceptional customer service. You will repair issues on offsite built housing and respond promptly to service calls.

The role involves hands-on maintenance, HVAC care, roof repairs, and supporting the Welcome Home process. A valid driver's license, teamwork, and customer relations skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Numerous and varied handyman skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 100 lbs).
• Ability to climb ladders and work in all environments (extreme heat/cold, rain/snow).
• Strong customer relations skills and teamwork.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Pass criminal background check and post-offer drug screen.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance to maintain property appearance and condition.
• Ensure audit compliance measures on the property and inventory.
• Complete service requests.
• Perform all HX/Dispatch related duties.
• Act as a CX/VOC advocate for the model home center and region.
• Participate in the Welcome Home process: check-in, defect-free prep, and orientation.
• Perform preventative care on HVAC and other systems.
• Repair exterior and roof damage.
• Maintain service van and stock, and keep equipment in good condition.
