Job summary

Wheelers of Wisconsin Rapids is seeking a Service Technician to perform repairs and diagnostics on vehicles. You will work from repair orders, diagnose necessary repairs, and maintain vehicles to dealership standards. ASE Certification support will be provided to help you grow professionally.

Qualifications

• Experience as a service technician preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• B level qualifications, including diagnostic, electrical and engine repair.
• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform work on repair orders with efficiency.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Job description

Wheelers of Wisconsin Rapids is currently looking for a Service Technician to join our dedicated team! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background and will get the job done. The day-to-day duties include performing work on specific repair orders and diagnosing what repairs need to be done.

If you are a technician with previous experience and would like to receive ASE Certification we will support you in facilitating training and anything you need to achieve ASE Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• Service Technician experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Basic computer competencies
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
