Wheelers of Merrill is seeking a qualified Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has a solid service tech background and can perform repairs on repair orders, diagnose needs, and ensure quality workmanship.

The company supports ASE certification and offers paid training to help you advance your skills. This role includes a focus on customer service, teamwork with service advisors, and maintaining a high standard of vehicle service.

Qualifications

• Must have service technician experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with diagnostics, electrical and engine repair required.
• Dexterity and steady hand essential for precise work.
• Strong troubleshooting and computer skills are important.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about needed additional services and provide time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Wheelers of Merrill is currently looking for a Service Technician to join our dedicated team! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background and will get the job done. The day-to-day duties include performing work on specific repair orders and diagnosing what repairs need to be done.

If you are a technician with previous experience and would like to receive ASE Certification we will support you in facilitating training and anything you need to achieve ASE Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership

• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs

• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• Service Technician experience preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent

• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair

• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination

• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

• Basic computer competencies

• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
