Job summary

TEKsystems in Omaha, NE is seeking a Residential Security Installation Technician for a contract-to-hire role. You will install, troubleshoot, and service residential security systems at customer locations, coordinating with a local team.

You'll receive hands-on training on equipment, installation procedures, programming, and troubleshooting while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced field environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and program residential security systems.
  • Install and support burglar alarms, CCTV systems, surveillance cameras, DVRs, and access control equipment.
  • Upgrade and convert legacy security systems to new technology platforms.
  • Install and service door sensors, window contacts, glass break detectors, smoke detectors, and related devices.
  • Troubleshoot alarm communication and signal issues.
  • Test and verify proper system functionality following installation.
  • Educate customers on how to operate and manage their security equipment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during every service call and installation.
  • Complete required job documentation and paperwork accurately.
  • Track equipment and materials used for each installation.
  • Maintain organized vehicle inventory and company equipment.
  • Ensure high-quality installations while minimizing return visits.

What You'll Do

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE.

Pay & Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
