Job summary

BissNuss is seeking a Service Technician to support municipal and industrial equipment, delivering technical assistance, consulting, and training while serving as a liaison between customers and the sales team.

This role covers Ohio, Western PA, and West Virginia, requires travel to customer sites, and involves mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic service with start-up and warranty support. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, with hours varying by customer needs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of field technician experience.
• Strong technical background across mechanical, electrical and hydraulics.
• Ability to communicate technical issues to customers of varying expertise.
• Ability to document startup, troubleshooting and repair processes.
• Proven ability to build relationships with customers.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel across Western PA, Ohio and West Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate activities to investigate and resolve customer reports of technical problems.
• Represent the company in product startup, warranty service and billable repair.
• Travel to customer locations throughout Ohio, Western PA, and West Virginia.
• Analyze findings to determine source of problem and recommend repairs or actions.
• Coordinate problem resolution with engineering and service teams to expedite repairs.
• Provide startup/commissioning services or other training to customers.
• Quote jobs when applicable.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic service and adjustments.
• Assist management with sales, field service, and warranty issues.
• Primary work hours are Monday through Friday; hours vary by customer needs.

The Service Technician role will support BissNuss and the related product and service lines (municipal Industrial equipment). This person provides customers with technical assistance, consulting services, quoting, training, and acts as liaison between customers and the company's sales team.

• Plan and coordinate activities concerned with investigating and resolving customer reports of technical problems.
• Represent the company in the support of product startup, warranty service and billable repair.
• This position will cover the Ohio, Western PA, and West Virginia territory, this role requires travel to customers locations.
• Analyze, review, and inspect the findings to determine source of problem, recommend repairs, replacements, or other corrective actions
• Coordinate problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs
• Provide start-up/commissioning services or other training to customer
• Quote jobs when applicable
• Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic service on products and perform adjustments
• The position also assists management in sales, field service, and warranty issues
• Primary work hours will be Monday through Friday
• Work hours will vary based on customer requirements

What you bring:

• 2+ years of related field technician experience
• Must have a strong technical background, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics knowledge
• Ability to professionally communicate technical issues with customers with varying degrees of technical expertise
• Ability to document all processes related to start-ups, troubleshooting, and repairs completed for future internal and/or external customer review
• Proven ability to initiate and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers
• Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and accuracy is a must have; ability to analyze information, good problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel throughout Western PA, Ohio, and West Virginia
