Job summary

PBBS Equipment Corporation in Wisconsin is seeking a Service Technician to provide field service for boiler rooms, working both independently and with a team.

The role involves maintenance on boilers and ancillary equipment, piping and wiring, pump service, and occasional out-of-town work with overtime and on-call shifts. On-the-job training is provided by the company. You will report to the Area Manager and collaborate with skilled technicians to deliver reliable boiler room solutions.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and/or electrical background.
• Ability to read and work from mechanical, wiring, and electrical prints/schematics.
• Proficient with smartphone/tablet devices.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide service to customers as directed by Area Manager.
• Perform annual maintenance on boilers, tanks, and ancillary equipment.
• Piping tasks and wiring work.
• Refractory, pumps service/install, control & burner upgrades.
• General repair and maintenance.
• Occasional out-of-town work, overtime, and on-call shifts.

This position is responsible for providing service to customers, as it relates to their Boiler Rooms.

This candidate will have strong work ethic and an ability to work both individually and in collaboration with others. The Service Technician will report to the Area Manager. PBBS can and will provide on the job training.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Provide service to customers as directed by Area Manager
• Annual Maintenance on Boilers, Feed/DA Tanks, and Ancillary Equipment
• Piping
• Wiring
• Refractory
• Service/Install Pumps
• Control & Burner Upgrades
• General Repair & Maintenance

Available to work occasionally out of town, overtime, and on-call shifts.

Requirements

• Mechanical and/or Electrical background
• Ability to read, understand and work from mechanical, wiring, and electrical prints/schematics
• Proficiencies using smart phone/tablet
• Able to work independently, as well as in a team atmosphere
• Strong communication and customer service skills (written and oral)
