Job summary

PBBS Equipment Corp. is seeking a Service Technician to service boiler room systems. You will perform routine maintenance, piping, wiring, and support upgrades, while collaborating with the Area Manager and teammates.

The role requires mechanical or electrical background, the ability to read schematics, and strong communication skills with customers. On-call shifts, overtime, and occasional out-of-town work may be required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and/or Electrical background required.
• Ability to read, understand and work from mechanical, wiring, and electrical prints/schematics.
• Proficiencies using smartphone/tablet devices.
• Able to work independently, as well as in a team atmosphere.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Provide service to customers as directed by Area Manager.
• Perform annual maintenance on boilers, feed/DA tanks, and ancillary equipment.
• Piping and wiring tasks as needed.
• Refractory work and general repair and maintenance.
• Service/install pumps; handle control and burner upgrades.
• Ensure safe, reliable operation and assist with equipment upgrades.
• Be available to work occasionally out of town, overtime, and on-call shifts.

This position is responsible for providing service to customers, as it relates to their Boiler Rooms.

This candidate will have strong work ethic and an ability to work both individually and in collaboration with others. The Service Technician will report to the Area Manager. PBBS can and will provide on the job training.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Provide service to customers as directed by Area Manager
• Annual Maintenance on Boilers, Feed/DA Tanks, and Ancillary Equipment
• Piping
• Wiring
• Refractory
• Service/Install Pumps
• Control & Burner Upgrades
• General Repair & Maintenance

Available to work occasionally out of town, overtime, and on-call shifts.
