Job summary

The Vincit Group in Wisconsin is seeking a Service Technician who services water treatment systems, inspects equipment, prepares service estimates, and advises on chemical treatments to control water quality. You will test, diagnose, and optimize system performance while maintaining clear customer communication.

You will educate customers on system usage and best practices, maintain records, and support a fast-paced field team across multiple accounts.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain a wide range of water treatment systems, including water softeners, filtration systems, reverse osmosis units.
• Perform water quality testing and system diagnostics to identify and resolve performance issues.
• Educate customers on system usage, maintenance, and best practices.
• Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs, and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations.
• Maintain customer records, using automated systems.
• Inspects, tests, and observes chemical changes in water system equipment, utilizing test kit, reference manual, and knowledge of chemical treatment.
• Completes special projects upon request, and other duties may be assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

The Service Technician plays a direct role in ensuring customer satisfaction by servicing a majority of the existing accounts in his or her area. Inspect customer water system equipment and prepare service estimates. Obtain water samples for field analysis or send them to the home office for further analysis when needed. Creates analysis write‑ups, and contacts customers to recommend treatment to control levels of substances in water. Attempts to resolve problems encountered with customer's water‑treatment process. Performs follow‑up test on water in customer water system, utilizing test kit, knowledge of chemical treatment, and reference manual. Explain test results to customers. Observes changes in customers’ water analysis and recommends the amount, and type, of chemical additives necessary for water treatment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

EXPERIENCE

Preferred: 1-3 years of experience working in chemical, sanitation, food protection, food manufacturing or related field. Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel highly preferred.
