Job summary

Rusnak Auto Group's Volvo Westlake dealership in Thousand Oaks is seeking Service Technicians to advance your automotive career. You will repair vehicles safely and efficiently, upholding integrity and supporting franchise goals.

The role offers compensation at $33.80 per hour plus a flag rate, with pay based on experience and skill. A California driver license and current ASE certification are preferred requirements.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; 2 years related automotive service experience preferred.
• Technical school diploma and ASE certification preferred.
• Current California Driver License required.

Responsibilities

• Consistently repair vehicles following manufacturer-recommended processes and safety guidelines.
• Communicate clearly about the cause and steps taken to resolve the concern.
• Ensure documentation complies with company, manufacturer, and legal policies.
• Pass and remain current on all certification testing.
• Organize work and tools to minimize damage and loss.

Responsibilities

Consistently Ensures Client Satisfaction and Safety by Effectively, Efficiently, and Safely Repairing Vehicles Right the First Time, Every Time.

• Effectively utilizes manufacturer-recommended diagnosis and repair processes.
• Promptly seeks clarification and/or management input when a client concern or objective is unclear.
• Upon completion of repair, verifies that the concern has been resolved; communicates clearly the cause and all steps taken to correct the concern.
• Consistently maintains solid working knowledge of, and ensures documentation and procedures comply with, company, manufacturer, local, state, and federal policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to the sale and service of new and pre-owned vehicles; consistently demonstrates passion for continued learning regarding brand‑specific knowledge.
• Consistently, effectively, and efficiently locates, reads, analyzes, interprets, understands, and successfully performs work based on complex technical documents.

Effectively and Efficiently Achieves Proficiency Rate.

• Consistently participates in the determination of personal performance targets; sets challenging goals.
• Organizes work and work tools to minimize damage and/or loss.
• Required to successfully pass and remain current on all certification testing.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; two (2) years related and progressively responsible automotive retailer, brand‑specific service technician experience preferred; technical school diploma and automotive service excellence (ASE) certification preferred.
• Required: Current California Driver License with satisfactory Department of Motor Vehicles driving record.
