Job summary

Thermal Concepts, LLC is seeking an experienced HVAC technician for Tampa, FL. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, with strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of commercial HVAC experience, EPA Universal certification, and a valid driver’s license. Technical certification is preferred and a company-supported career growth path is offered.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units and related systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and performance checks.
• Respond to service calls promptly with excellent customer service.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical docs.
• Explain repair findings and recommend solutions to customers.
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.

What you’ll do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and system performance checks.
• Respond to service calls promptly while delivering excellent customer service.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Explain repair findings and recommend solutions to customers.
• Complete service reports, work orders, and required documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

Position Requirements

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or GED required, technical certification in HVAC or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience working with rooftop units and commercial systems
• EPA Certification required (Universal preferred)
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls
