Job summary

Mark VII, part of the WashTec Group, is seeking a Field Service Technician in Seattle to maintain and repair car wash equipment in customer sites. You will troubleshoot diverse systems, train customer personnel, and support installation and upgrades with minimal supervision.

The role requires 3–5 years of field experience, solid technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills. A valid driving record and the ability to travel locally are expected.

  • Understanding of OLC controllers, low-voltage control circuits, and three-phase power.

Responsibilities

  • Perform periodic scheduled and preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned by Dispatch.
  • Accurately troubleshoot chemical, mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, PLC controllers, and power supplies; perform diagnostic analysis.
  • Provide sound technical assistance to all customers and distributors.
  • Provide on-site technical training for customer personnel pertaining to use, operation, and maintenance.
  • Assist in the installation of new carwash equipment.
  • Perform repairs and correct malfunctions as necessary.
  • Modify or update equipment when required.
  • Maintain tools, test equipment, and materials in a professional manner.
  • Maintain all company-owned and leased equipment in proper condition.
  • Operate a vehicle safely and courteously, obeying local laws and regulations.
  • Work with processes unique or peculiar to customer needs.
  • Participate in problem-solving processes regarding customer complaints.
  • Interface with customers and related company personnel to ensure effective communication and dissemination of information required for superior customer service.
  • Keep abreast of new developments and innovations to improve departmental and company performance.
  • Accurately perceive information from others; assure appropriate flow of information and report matters clearly, concisely, and accurately.

About the Role

The Field Service Technician is responsible for equipment maintenance and repair, and for documenting related repairs and services. The role also recommends changes in systems, programs, and equipment to improve reliability, increase capability, and/or reduce customer costs. The technician performs the following duties in the field with minimal supervision and coaching.

Key Responsibilities

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
