Job summary

Whaley Foodservice is seeking a Service Technician II to maintain and repair commercial cooking equipment, refrigeration and HVAC systems for our customers in Savannah, GA and surrounding areas.

The role requires troubleshooting, ordering parts, coordinating with branches and customers, and completing service tickets. A valid driver’s license and clean background are required. Expect regular travel and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Three (3) years maintenance experience to include repairing commercial cooking or refrigeration equipment.
• Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standards.
• Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
• Ability to work independently.
• Dependability.
• Accurately and promptly completes required paperwork.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Stable work history.

Requirements

Working / Environmental Conditions

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with assistance.


• Repeated bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing up and down ladders.


• Extensive daily travel to work site location.


• Exposure to hot grease from fryers.


• On-call weekend rotation (frequency varies with branch size).


• Occasional to frequent exertion in high temperature environment (over heated kitchens, rooftops, etc.).
