This position is responsible for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing, and performing system checks. This role involves identifying system deficiencies and preparing accurate inspection reports.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct routine preventative maintenance on sprinkler fire suppression systems.
  2. Service and inspect wet, dry, and pre-action fire suppression systems.
  3. Install, maintain, repair, or replace fire sprinkler equipment and systems in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  4. Service wet-based fire sprinkler systems.
  5. Interact professionally with customers.
  6. Install or upgrade fire sprinklers in commercial and residential buildings.
  7. Test and repair existing alarm systems.
  8. Ensure alarms are installed according to code through inspections.
  9. Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting issues and work results accurately and promptly.
  10. Maintain company equipment and inspect/maintain the truck and related equipment.
  11. Operate warehouse equipment safely, including vehicles, adhering to safety regulations.
  12. Respond to emergency service calls.
  13. Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
  14. Follow directions and work independently when needed.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education/Qualifications:
  1. At least 2 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems preferred.
  2. Experience with commercial and residential systems.
  3. Strong troubleshooting skills.
  4. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team and independently.
  5. Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  6. Flexibility for evening, weekend, and out-of-town work.
  7. Knowledge of fire safety principles, codes, and regulations.
  8. Ability to review official documents for completeness and accuracy.
  9. Leadership ability.
  10. Ability to recognize deviations through inspections.
  11. Ability to interpret and apply laws, codes, and regulations.
  12. Maintain accurate records and reports.
  13. Follow oral and written instructions.
  14. Operate and repair small/light equipment, including power tools and ladders.
Other Duties:
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Safety Policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
  • Stand, walk, handle, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift/move heavy objects.
  • Physical abilities include balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, visual acuity.
