Job summary

Premier Pool Management, Inc. is seeking a full-time, experienced pool service technician to join our Maryland/Virginia/DC operations. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and ready to grow into leadership.

Responsibilities include assisting in daily Service Department operations, planning schedules, assigning tasks, and supervising projects such as pump, filtration, heater, plumbing, deck and plaster repairs. A valid driver’s license and good English are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with pool repairs, renovations and construction, including troubleshooting and routine service.
• Strong customer service and professionalism in communicating with clients, vendors and staff.
• Ability to communicate in English, read diagrams and specifications, and follow instructions.
• General understanding of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, masonry and concrete.
• Knowledge of VA/MD/DC regulations.
• Leadership potential and a can-do attitude.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily operation of the Service Department; plan schedules, assign tasks, monitor progress.
• Manage multiple projects: filtration, pump/motor installation, heater installation, plumbing, deck/patch repairs.
• Identify and prepare recommended repair proposals.
• Source and purchase materials and supplies within budget guidelines.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and hazardous chemicals program.
• Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, community organizations, and the public.

Job description

Premier Pool Management, Inc is seeking to add a full-time experienced pool service technician. This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable and organized aquatics industry professional or a recent graduate with educational experience and technical inclination. Premier Pool Management, Inc. (PPM) manages commercial properties (apartment complexes, homeowner associations, and hotels) in the Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC area and is looking for a great addition to our team.

The ideal candidate displays strong organizational skills and a desire to grow into a management role. Candidates should have the following technical skills and knowledge to ensure the successful operation of all aspects of the Service Department, but we are willing to train the right candidate:

• Familiarity and experience with pool repairs, renovations, and construction including troubleshooting, repair and routine service of pool systems or equivalent education and experience
• Strong customer service skills and professionalism to communicate with clients, vendors, and staff at all levels
• The ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English, interpret diagrams and specifications, and follow the instruction
• General understanding of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, masonry, and concrete
• Knowledge of VA, MD, DC and county regulations
• Leadership skills and a can-do attitude
• A valid driver’s license

Essential duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in the daily operation of the Service Department, including planning and preparing work schedules, assigning tasks, monitoring progress and work flow, reviewing work for timeliness and accuracy, and evaluating work performance
• Manage the completion of multiple concurrent projects, including filtration system maintenance, pump and motor installation and service, heater installation, plumbing, skimmer, and leak repairs, deck and coping repairs, plaster repair
• Identify and prepare recommended repair proposals
• Source and purchase materials and supplies for projects within budget guidelines
• Maintains compliance with OSHA regulations and hazardous chemicals program
• Communicate professionally with and provide excellent customer service to clients, vendors, community organizations, and the public
