Job summary

Thalhimer is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join Fox Rest in Richmond, VA. This full-time role focuses on proactive maintenance of apartment homes, completing work orders, turnovers, and repairs to HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and appliances.

You will also maintain common areas and be on call as needed, with a focus on resident satisfaction and safety. CFC and HVAC certifications are required, and a valid driver's license is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in a residential community or similar field.
• CFC and HVAC certifications are required.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel between properties if needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete apartment work orders and turnovers promptly.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance for HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems and appliances.
• Assist with upkeep of common areas, property buildings, and pool maintenance.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service in all interactions with residents and staff.
• Work with the team to ensure maintenance tasks are handled efficiently and professionally.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
• Manage daily checklists, occasional tasks, and troubleshoot unexpected issues.

As a Service Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the quality of our apartment homes, ensuring residents enjoy a well-maintained living environment. What You'll Do

As a Service Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring the efficient maintenance of our Fox Rest property. Your hands-on expertise will cover everything from completing apartment work orders and turnovers to performing repairs on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances. You'll also be responsible for maintaining common areas, property buildings, and pool areas, contributing to the overall upkeep of the community.

Key Responsibilities Include

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years of maintenance experience in a residential community or similar field
• CFC and HVAC certifications are required
• Strong background in plumbing, electrical systems, and general apartment maintenance
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel between properties if needed
• Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for hands-on work
