Thalhimer is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join Lexington Commons in Newport News, VA. This full-time role involves maintaining apartment homes, completing work orders, and performing repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances.

On-site responsibilities include upkeep of common areas, buildings, and pool areas, with on-call hours as needed. You’ll deliver friendly, professional service to residents and staff and contribute to a well-maintained community.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of maintenance experience in a residential community or similar field.
• CFC and HVAC certifications are required.
• Strong background in plumbing, electrical systems, and general apartment maintenance.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel between properties if needed.
• Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for hands-on work.

Responsibilities

• Completing apartment work orders and turnovers promptly.
• Performing repairs and preventative maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• Assisting with the upkeep of common areas, property buildings, and pool maintenance.
• Demonstrating exceptional customer service in all interactions with residents and staff.

What You’ll Do

Your hands‑on expertise will cover everything from completing apartment work orders and turnovers to performing repairs on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances.
