Job summary

DMG North in Reno, NV is seeking an on-site startup technician to install, commission and service HVAC systems for a range of manufacturers. You will troubleshoot controls, program touchscreens, read wiring diagrams and document all actions on service reports.

We require a high school diploma or GED, at least two years HVAC training, a valid Nevada license and EPA Universal Technician certification. In return, we offer health benefits, a 401(k), paid time off, holidays and flexible scheduling.

Job Description

JOB FUNCTION:

Perform skilled mechanical duties in the startup, repairs, installation, preventive maintenance, and routine servicing of HVAC equipment.

Duties And Responsibilities

• On site startup technician for various manufacturers
• Troubleshoot installation of control systems
• Solving issues using reasoning and logic Communication with individuals who installed the system
• Programming of new control system using touchscreens and computers
• Documentation of actions taken on the job site on service reports Understanding and reading wiring diagrams during troubleshooting
• Completing all startup documentation and sending it to be entered for warranty
• Perform other duties and assignments.
• Maintain regular good attendance

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: KNOWLEDGE OF

• Standard practices of the HVAC trade.
• Theory of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Computer Usage: Basic data entry and ability to navigate the use of email, internet, word processing programs
• Materials, methods, and tools used in the operation and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Manual and electrical tools and equipment applicable to the HVAC and refrigeration trade. Brazing and soldering techniques.
• Health and safety regulations.
• Basic record-keeping techniques.
• Proper methods of storing equipment, materials, and supplies.

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate
• Two years of HVAC training program

Licenses And Other Requirements

• Valid Nevada License
• Active EPA Universal Technician Certification

Compensation

$30-$60/hr DOE , We offer excellent health benefits, a 401(k) Plan, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays and flexible scheduling.
