Job Title: Rental Service Technician

Location: Washington, PA – Onsite

Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Occasional Overtime

Pay Range: Starting Pay will range between $20.00 - $32.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, hourly position.

Job Overview

The Rental Technician for Ingersoll Rand’s Compression Systems is responsible for the service, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and refurbishment of compressed air equipment such as air compressors and dryers. This involves the inspection and analysis of malfunctions, dismantling, repairing, adjusting, and reassembling (as required) to solve operational problems. We provide extensive training and cross-training on rental compressor and dryer technology. The environment is positive, and we offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities
  • Testing and troubleshooting rental dryer and compressor equipment.
  • Repairing and refurbishing rental dryer and compressor equipment.
Requirements
  • 1 year+ of mechanical/pneumatic service & repair experience.
  • The ability to read, analyze and interpret technical design drawings.
  • Ability to drive a forklift.
  • This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling. It requires employees to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and/or move weight limits in line with the safety policy.
Core Competencies
  • Able to read wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment.
  • Basic PC skills, some experience using Excel or equivalent.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective at managing multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable and well organized.
Preferences
  • Knowledge of installation, operation, maintenance and repair of dryers, compressors, and compressed air equipment.
  • Electric compressor and/or chiller experience a plus.
  • Refrigeration certifications and/or experience a plus.
  • Strong commitment to safety is priority.
  • An intensely strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Veterans/Active-Duty Military are encouraged to apply.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
