Job summary

Palmer Johnson Enterprises, Inc. in Sun Prairie is seeking a Service Technician to service and rebuild heavy-duty transmissions, axles and other drivetrain components used in construction, agriculture, and industrial equipment.

You will diagnose problems, disassemble, inspect, and repair to OEM specifications, document findings, and collaborate with teammates, customers, and manufacturers. A valid driver's license is required and the role includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel, heavy equipment, or drivetrain repair experience.
• Reading service manuals, schematics and assembly drawings is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. are required.

Palmer Johnson is hiring a Service Technician for our Component Shop in Sun Prairie. In this role, you'll work on heavy-duty transmissions, axles, differentials, torque converters, and other drivetrain components used in construction, material handling, agriculture, and industrial equipment.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, disassemble, inspect, and rebuild heavy-duty components
• Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues
• Complete repairs to OEM specifications
• Document findings and repair recommendations
• Work with teammates, customers, and manufacturers to solve technical issues

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of diesel, heavy equipment, or drivetrain repair experience
• Technical training in diesel or automotive is a plus, but not required
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and failure analysis skills
• Ability to read service manuals, schematics, and assembly drawings
• Valid driver's license
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet throughout the day
• Self-motivated with attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
