Job summary

WASH is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform mechanical repairs on washers and dryers at customer locations across the USA. The role requires independent work, solid mechanical aptitude, and reliable driving.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of mechanical experience with electrical knowledge, strong customer service, and clear English communication (Spanish a plus). Training and advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of mechanical experience and electrical knowledge or training.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Effective English communication (oral and written); bilingual EN/ES is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Service washers and dryers at various locations (apartments, laundromats, hotels, athletic facilities).
• Disassemble machines and examine mechanical and electrical parts.
• Reassemble appliances, adjust pulleys, and lubricate moving parts.
• Replace worn or defective parts and adjust motors.
• Clean and wash parts.
• Advise dispatch on equipment that should be replaced with new equipment.
• Drive a company vehicle to and from work locations.

Service Technicians keep our machines running smoothly to meet customer expectations or the need for repeated service needs. What you’ll do:

• Service washers and dryers at apartments, laundromats, hotels, athletic facilities, etc.

What we’re looking for:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Good driving record
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
• Must possess effective English communication skills (oral and written); bilingual communication skills (English and Spanish) are desirable
• 3+ years of mechanical experience and electrical knowledge and/or training
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally move 200 pounds or more with a dolly/hand truck
• Prior washer/dryer repair experience is desirable
