Job summary

Harper Acura in Knoxville, TN seeks a skilled Service Technician to join our growing team. The right candidate will have a strong background in Honda/Acura service, performing work on repair orders and diagnosing needed repairs with efficiency.

You will test-drive vehicles, inspect components with diagnostic tools, and work closely with the Service Advisor to keep customers updated on needed services and timelines. A customer-focused, team-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of service technician experience
• Honda/Acura experience
• B level qualifications, including diagnostics, electrical and engine repair
• Dexterity and hand-eye coordination

Responsibilities

• Perform work on repair orders efficiently per dealership standards
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to identify needed repairs
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C)
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional needed services and provide time estimates
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Service Technician to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background in Honda/Acura. The day-to-day duties include performing work on specific repair orders and diagnosing what repairs need to be done.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
• Honda/Acura Experience
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
