What You'll Do
- Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs according to manufacturer and dealership standards.
- Diagnose and repair engine, electrical, brake, suspension, steering, transmission, and other vehicle systems.
- Complete scheduled maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services, and multi-point inspections.
- Review repair orders and accurately document diagnostic findings and repairs performed.
- Identify additional maintenance and repair opportunities and communicate recommendations through the service advisor.
- Perform road tests as necessary to verify concerns and confirm repairs.
- Maintain knowledge of manufacturer repair procedures, technical bulletins, recalls, and service updates.
- Collaborate with service advisors, parts personnel, and fellow technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Operate diagnostic equipment, lifts, hand tools, and shop equipment safely and efficiently.
- Protect customer vehicles and ensure quality workmanship on every repair.
- Participate in manufacturer training, certification programs, and continuing education opportunities.
- Support shop productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience as an Automotive Technician, Automotive Mechanic, Service Technician, or Auto Repair Technician.
- ASE Certifications are preferred but not required.
- Manufacturer certifications are a plus.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience performing maintenance, repairs, and vehicle diagnostics.

QualificationsQualifications:
- Associate degree in Automotive Technology, technical certification, equivalent training, or a combination of education and experience preferred.
- Two or more years of automotive repair and diagnostic experience preferred.
- Previous experience as a B-Level Technician or equivalent skill level preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic systems.
- Ability to interpret repair manuals, technical service bulletins, schematics, and manufacturer service information.
- Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex automotive repair issues.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and accuracy standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to mentor and provide guidance to less experienced technicians.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in a professional environment.
- Basic mathematical skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and repair procedures.
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
- Ability to safely lift, bend, stand, crouch, and perform physical work throughout the workday.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Frequently works in a service shop environment with exposure to mechanical equipment, moving vehicles, chemicals, and automotive fluids.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, and reaching for extended periods.
- Must be able to safely operate shop equipment and use required personal protective equipment.
- Must adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
