Job summary

Midwest Equipment Company, a trusted leader since 1993, seeks an experienced Service Technician for Carlyle, Illinois. You will service commercial soft serve equipment, grills and ovens at customer locations, with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule and on-call rotation.

A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered and a climate-controlled company vehicle is provided. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of service technician experience, familiarity with refrigerants, and a strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of service technician experience.
• Experience with refrigerants strongly preferred (if applicable to MEC equipment).
• Mechanical aptitude a must; knowledge of commercial foodservice equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serves customer sites by servicing commercial soft serve equipment, grills and ovens.
• Maintains equipment and documents service visits.
• On-call rotation every 5–6 weeks; occasional overnight travel during the week.

We're currently seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our growing team in Carlyle, Illinois. In this role, you'll be responsible for servicing commercial soft serve equipment, grills, and ovens at customer locations. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get out of working in outdoor conditions or tired of crawling through attics, plus, we pay for driving time. Ideal Candidate:

• 2+ years of service technician experience. Experience with other technical roles will be considered.
• Experience working with refrigerants strongly preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude a must, commercial foodservice equipment experience is a plus!
• Occasional overnight travel during the week.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical school training and/or EPA Universal Card is a plus!
• Ability to work alone and with others
