Job summary

TEKsystems is hiring for a contract security systems technician based in Canonsburg, PA. The role requires strong customer focus, solid technical aptitude, and the ability to work onsite with minimal supervision. Expect local travel to job sites and occasional overnight travel as needed.

• Acts as a trusted service provider by delivering exceptional customer support and ensuring client satisfaction on every service call.
• Responds to scheduled maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency service requests.
• Diagnoses, repairs, replaces defective components, and debugs electronic security systems to restore functionality and minimize downtime.
• Utilizes strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues related to access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and other low-voltage security systems.
• Completes detailed service documentation and reports to support accurate project tracking, invoicing, and customer records.

• Installs, configures, and supports a variety of electronic security and low-voltage systems in commercial and industrial environments.

Solid technical skills and/or experience related to fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems.

Solid programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.

Must be a self-starter and work well with direct supervision.

Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper).

A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis. Minimal overnight travel may be required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
