Job summary

Ferrellgas is seeking a dependable Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair propane systems for residential and commercial customers in Des Moines, IA. You’ll be the trusted face ensuring safety, warmth, and reliable service for homes and businesses, with local routes that keep you home each night.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of related service or technical experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• CDL Class B with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
• U.S. work authorization or citizen.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain propane systems and equipment for residential and commercial customers.
• Respond to emergency calls and test systems for safety compliance.
• Safely load, transport, and deliver propane as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and sharing safety information.
• Assist with appliance service and deliveries when required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required


• 3+ years of related service or technical experience preferred


• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record


• CDL Class B with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (preferred)


• Strong commitment to safety and customer service


• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
