Job summary

Hiab USA is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform service, preventive maintenance, safety checks and refurbishments on equipment at external or Hiab locations and in Tulsa, OK area. You will build productive customer relationships, follow best practices, and keep accurate reports.

Requirements include a 1-year DOT medical card, a valid driver's license, 5+ years in mechanical/hydraulic/electrical operations, diagnostic skills, ownership of tools, and willingness to travel 100% of the

• Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card is required for this position.
• Valid Driver’s License is required
• No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two violations within a two year time frame.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• 5+ years of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical operations
• Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Own tools required
• This position requires 100% travel

Responsibilities

• Inspect, perform service, troubleshoot (preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades and refurbishment) on forklifts, knuckle boom cranes, loaders, liftgates, hooklifts, skiploaders & hoists as directed
• Follow applicable safety rules, practices and environmental requirements
• Stay up to date with technical developments and complete courses as directed by District Service Manager
• Respond to customer queries to maximize satisfaction and follow Hiab Customer Satisfaction Guidelines
• Maintain documentation and submit daily reports in required format
• Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to District Service Manager
• Coach/tutor junior colleagues and trainees
• Always promote a positive Hiab brand image and follow the Quality System

Compensation Data

Salary ranges from $35.90-$41.75 per hour based on skills and experience.

Your mission

To perform service, (preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades and refurbishment) on equipment, at external or Hiab locations in line with Manager’s instructions. Responsible for contributing to productive customer relationships as well as following Best Practice in all administrative and technical activities.

The Hiab facility is located in Oklahoma, City, OK, however all field service work will be conducted in the Tulsa, OK and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, perform service, troubleshoot (preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades and refurbishment) on the following equipment: Forklifts, Knuckle Boom Cranes, Loaders, Liftgates, Hooklifts, Skiploaders & Hoists in line with Manager’s instructions
• Follow applicable safety rules, agreed working practices and environmental requirements
• Staying up to date with technical developments as shown in internal service bulletins and completing technical courses when instructed by District Service Manager
• Respond to customer’s queries and concerns to maximize customer satisfaction & follow Hiab Customer Satisfaction Guidelines
• Keep adequate records, maintain documentation & submit daily reports in the format specified by the District Service Manager
• Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to District Service Manager
• Coach/tutor junior colleagues and trainees as necessary
• Conduct self at all times in a way that promotes a positive image of the Hiab brand and follow rules of the Quality System

What we are looking for
