SATO America is seeking a Service Technician I in Charlotte, NC to perform basic functionality testing, troubleshooting, and repair of SATO printers. Training will be provided for candidates who are mechanically inclined and eager to learn, with a strong focus on following procedures and maintaining quality records.

The position offers Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., full-time hours and a compensation range of $22.00–$26.00 per hour plus generous benefits.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Less than one year of experience in a similar position.
• Experience with electronic repair, retail electronics, or appliances.
• Ability to follow and understand work instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• General math and computer skills.
• Experience using various hand tools.
• Some knowledge of computers and test equipment.
• Manual dexterity and visual coordination.
• Ability to work effectively with others.

Responsabilidades

• Use custom software testing suites to diagnose and validate hardware failures.
• Recognize equipment failures and determine the appropriate action.
• Use equipment such as voltmeters, computers, and specialized test fixtures.
• Maintain accurate records for individual repairs.
• Follow established procedures and work instructions to troubleshoot printers.
• Maintain production and quality output standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About The Role

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The role also requires the hand dexterity needed to work in close areas, handle small objects, and identify surfaces by touch.

Employees must be able to regularly lift or move objects weighing up to 60 pounds, with assistance available for heavier items. The position also requires the ability to communicate verbally, hear clearly, focus on objects, and distinguish colors.
