Job summary

Rueter’s, a long-standing dealer of agricultural and construction equipment, seeks a Service Technician to maintain and repair equipment in shop and field settings in Grand Junction, IA.

You’ll diagnose issues, document work, and meet productivity goals while adhering to safety protocols and customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of diesel, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and repair techniques.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with a customer-first mindset.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Prior experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Mechanical Technician, or similar role.

What You’ll Do

As a Service Technician, you’ll perform maintenance and repairs on ag and construction equipment in both the shop and the field.

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing and performing basic to complex repairs
• Documenting parts and services performed accurately
• Meeting service efficiency and productivity goals
• Participating in ongoing training and development
• Following all safety protocols
• Promoting fair, customer-friendly billing practices

What We’re Looking For

• Strong knowledge of diesel, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Experience with diagnostic tools and repair techniques

The Details

• Location: Grand Junction, IA
• Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (occasional evenings/weekends)
• Travel: Local day travel expected

Work Environment: Split between shop and field settings, occasional exposure to outdoor elements and uneven surfaces. Ability to lift 25+ lbs regularly required.
