Job summary

Pico Propane and Fuels, a Meritum Energy Holdings Company, in Caldwell, TX, seeks an experienced Service Technician to install, repair and maintain propane and oil generators, equipment, and tanks. Strong mechanical knowledge, ability to work in confined spaces, and excellent communication are essential to deliver top-notch customer service.

Travel to customers’ locations, perform site surveys, test equipment, and provide clear operating instructions.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Service Technician highly preferred
• Advanced knowledge of propane and refined fuel systems
• Ability to obtain TX RRC service and installation certification within twelve (12) months of employment
• Ability to solve problems and repair equipment on site
• Ability to effectively and efficiently use navigation tools such as GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps
• Ability to maintain accurate logs and records
• Ability to carry out a series of instructions with limited supervision
• Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Willingness to learn , grow, and uphold a customer focused culture that continually strives to exceed expectations
• Support growth and retention efforts

Responsibilities

• Travels to customers' homes or place of business
• Installs generators, tanks and/or appliances
• Repairs equipment such as generators, LP Furnaces, Water Heaters, LP appliances, etc
• Suggests areas where equipment should be set up – Site surveys
• Troubleshoots problems with existing equipment
• Tests old and new installation along with testing connections
• Provides customers with verbal and written operating instructions for new equipment
• Maintains equipment
• Cleans up after the job is complete
• Records and maintains stock levels
• Maintains the work vehicle and general maintenance of the vehicle
• Assist with propane cylinder deliveries as needed
• All other duties as assigned

Job Summary

Pico Propane and Fuels, a Meritum Energy Holdings Company, in Caldwell, TX is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Technician. The Service Technician will play a crucial role in the installation, repair, and maintenance of Propane and Oil generators, equipment and tanks. To ensure success as a Service Technician, one should have sound mechanical knowledge, be able work in confined spaces for an extended period, have exceptional communication skills, and a passion for customer service.Ultimately, a top-class Service Technician provides expert installation services and dedicated support to all customers.

Education, Certification, Licenses Required
