Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED, Inc. is hiring an entry-level Technician - Service 1 to service vending and fountain equipment across the North Alabama division. The role includes mechanical servicing and component installation with direct customer interaction.

Qualifying candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license, with willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. A strong safety mindset and basic electrical knowledge are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required and must comply with fleet policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical service on cold drink equipment.
• Install mechanical components and parts.
• Interact with customers to explain service and resolve issues.
• Maintain inventory control for parts and supplies.
• Maintain company vehicle and tools in good condition.

Job Description

The Technician - Service 1 is the entry level position to the Service Tech positions responsible for working on various vending/fountain equipment.

What Your Day Will Look Like

• Performing mechanical service on cold drink equipment
• Installing mechanical components
• Customer interaction
• Inventory control
• Microsoft Office/Mobilizer
• Maintain Company vehicle
• Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

What You Need To Succeed

• Minimum age 18 years old
• Valid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
• Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
• Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
• Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 0 to 24 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
• Knowledge of Cold Drink Equipment or appliance repair preferred
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, repair manuals and use a Multi-Meter preferred
• Refrigeration Certification Type 1 preferred
• Knowledge of Basic Electrical Theory and practical applications
• Ability to analyze and problem solve to respond and resolve any customer issues
• Ability to work with all functional team members
• Customer service oriented
• Use hand and power tools

Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
