Job summary

Morgan Properties is hiring a Service Technician to maintain our 286-unit community in New Jersey. The role requires a practical, "Whatever It Takes" mindset to ensure the physical aspects meet company standards and laws.

You will handle HVAC, appliance, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks while upholding safety and resident service. We value teamwork and integrity; you will interact with residents, vendors, and colleagues to deliver quality service.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• HVAC / EPA / CFC certification preferred.
• Active, valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot service issues including HVAC, general appliance, carpentry, electrical and plumbing.
• Maintain interior and exterior areas in accordance with company standards and applicable laws.
• Respond promptly to maintenance service tickets.
• Communicate repairs and updates clearly with residents and office staff.

As The Service Technician, You Will Help To

• Be responsible for trouble-shooting service issues including, but not limited to, HVAC, general appliance, carpentry, electrical and plumbing.
• Maintain interior and exterior areas in accordance with company standards, compliance requirements, and applicable laws
• Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance service tickets
• Communicate clearly and professionally with residents and office staff regarding repairs and updates

Compensation & Incentives

• Base Pay: $20.00 – $22.00/hour
• Up to 50% Rent Discount
• Property Staff Shared Renewal Commissions
• Morgan Essentials: $300 quarterly
• On-Call Appreciation: $15/day for holding the on-call phone

Hours & Schedule

• Monday – Friday: 8:00AM-4:00PM
• Paid rotating on-call participation required
• Must be available and prepared for emergency events
• Schedule subject to change based on business needs

If you are hired at Morgan Properties, your overall compensation package will also be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
