C & B Material Handling, LLC (part of the C & B Equipment family), a leader in material handling equipment, automation solutions, and industrial equipment rental, is seeking a Material Handling Forklift Service Technician for our Baton Rouge, Louisiana location. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of material handling equipment, providing excellent service, and building strong customer relationships.

Essential Duties

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on material handling equipment.
• Participate in training to develop skills and knowledge.
• Maintain current product knowledge.
• Keep a clean and organized work area.
• Manage vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment condition.
• Load and unload equipment as needed.
• Promote and sell the service department’s offerings, including inspections, repairs, and parts, to enhance customer safety and satisfaction.
• Mentor less experienced technicians.
• Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Experience in operating and diagnosing material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of repair tools and techniques.
• Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Willingness to travel for work.
• Associate’s degree or progress toward a Diesel Technology or related degree is preferred.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the role.
