Qualifications

Pay

$25.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Full‑time, hourly position.

Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Job Overview

The Field Service Technician for Ingersoll Rand’s Compression Systems and Services Division serves customers by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on compressed air equipment.
• Interact with customers to address equipment concerns.
• Collaborate with Service Coordinator on parts and supplies.
• Assist and train apprentices and field service technicians.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with customers and co‑workers.
• Provide technical assistance on pre‑commissioning, start‑ups, installations, and repairs.
• Increase customer awareness of Ingersoll Rand products and solutions.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with clean driving record.
• Availability to be on‑call as required, except first 90 days.
• Physical ability to perform hands‑on work; able to lift, walk, stoop, and kneel regularly.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Core Competencies

• Read wiring schematics and diagrams.
• Advanced network system installations (IMMC/ASC, X Series Automation).
• Basic vibration troubleshooting.
• Basic air quality (compressor/dryer) knowledge.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer usage.
• Maintain proper business travel practices cost‑efficiently.

Preferences

• Industrial air compressor maintenance knowledge.
• EPA certification.
• Veteran/active‑duty military encouraged to apply.

Travel & Work Arrangements

• Daily travel within a 3‑hour radius of service area.
• Company vehicle and fuel card will be provided.

Pay Range

Starting pay ranges between $25.00 and $35.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
