Job summary

Brandeis Machinery Inc. in Paducah, KY is seeking a Leadman to take a lead role in service jobs, including scoping, troubleshooting, communications with customers and internal personnel, parts liaison and coordination of completion.

The role requires hands-on inspections and participation in pre-delivery and assembly when needed. The position also involves travel to customer sites, attending manufacturer training, and training of new technicians, with coordination of projects by the Branch

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent; a 2 year technical degree or comparable military training is preferred.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the heavy equipment industry or a related field.
• Excellent written and oral communication and basic mathematical skills.
• Proficient with a computer, including the use of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and diagnostic use using manufacturer provided programs.
• Must have a good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Become familiar with the proper operation and application of equipment that we sell and support and be able to assist customers and other technicians
• Perform hands-on inspections of machines with customers and our own product support personnel when required.
• Perform and or assist with new machine pre-delivery and assembly when required.
• Travel to customer’s job site when required (including off-hours) to troubleshoot machine problems.
• Attend manufacturer training as required.
• Assist in training of new technicians.
• Complete projects as assigned by the branch Service Manager or Regional Operations Manager.

• Ability to climb and perform work on heights of 15 feet.
• Able to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and able to travel overnight periodically for product training or company related business.
• Must pass background check, employment physical and drug screen.
