Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Service Technician for a permanent onsite role in Morgantown, KY. You will install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial overhead doors, loading docks, and equipment, diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems from 110V to 480V while coordinating with customers to resolve issues.

Daily duties include wiring, fabrication, and minor forklift repairs. A company truck is provided; steel-toed shoes are required, and 50% insurance is paid by the employer.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude required for diagnostics and repairs.
• Experience welding and using hand tools is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics is required.
• No formal education or certifications are required.

Service Technician

We are seeking a Service Technician to work Monday through Friday on a day shift schedule. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial overhead doors, loading docks, and related equipment. You will diagnose and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems ranging from 110V to 480V while working directly with customers to resolve equipment issues. The position also includes occasional forklift maintenance and mechanical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Handle electrical tasks including motor controls up to 480 Volts.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs on forklifts.
• Utilize hand tools and perform installations, wiring, and fabrication.
• Read blueprints and schematics for field service and preventative maintenance.
• Interact with customers to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.

Work Environment

Work in industrial maintenance facilities, primarily at docks. This role involves daily travel and outdoor work. The position is physically demanding, with responsibilities including lifting equipment and maintaining vehicles. A company truck is provided for work purposes, but personal use is not permitted. Steel-toed shoes are required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $49920.00/yr.

• Senior Tech's make up to $30/HR
• All training is in house

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

There is NO normal day here. May do PM work one day and installation the work the next.

There is room for advancement if someone is ambitious.

They will train with someone for up to 9 months on the job before they are working on their ownThey will get a .50 cent raise after 90 days if they are meeting performance expectationsIf they get welding certifications they will give them a $1 pay increase

If they ever have to work a Sunday, they will give them Monday off

They accrue Paid time off - every 30 days they work they earn half a day of vacationThey accrue 2 weeks after their 1st year

If they receive an offer, they will be asked to fill out an application and info for a DMV background check to make sure they can be insured to drive their company vehicle.
