Job summary

Polk Mechanical Company LLC in the Dallas–Fort Worth area is seeking skilled HVAC installers to join a high-performing team. This role covers commercial and industrial systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, air handlers, and VRF/VRV, with opportunities to lead projects or work independently.

You will read blueprints, coordinate with project managers and trades, maintain records, and ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Clear and valid driver's license required.
• 5-10+ years of experience installing commercial/industrial HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics.
• EPA type Universal, TDLR technician registration.
• Commercial HVAC: 2 years HVAC Trade School degree and OSHA 10 Hour training are a plus.
• Experience in other trades is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install HVAC equipment (replacement, remodel, new installations) in commercial/industrial environments.
• Install, assemble, and startup rooftop units, chillers, boilers, air handlers, and VRF/VRV systems.
• Work as part of a team or solo with minimal supervision.
• Communicate with customers and other trades on site.
• Receive and document work orders; track material and labor usage.
• Maintain inventory of tools/equipment and refrigerant records per federal requirements.
• Travel within the DFW area; per diem when overnight outside the region.
• Coordinate with project managers, sales staff, AEs and other trades to ensure timely completion.

Responsibilities

• Install all types of HVAC equipment including replacement of existing, remodel and new installations in a commercial or industrial environment
• Install, assemble, and start up commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, air handlers, and VRF/VRV systems
• Work as in a team or solo to complete projects without direct supervision
• Communicate and work alongside customers and other construction trades
• Receive and complete work orders and maintain accurate records on material and labor usage on jobs through electronic handheld devices Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean
• Maintain inventory of company-owned tools, equipment, and materials including maintaining refrigerant usage records to meet federal requirements
• Work in and outside the DFW area as required, per diem included when out of the DFW area overnight
• Coordinate with project managers, sales staff, AEs and other trades to ensure timely project completions
