Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is looking for a Service Technician to support our Flooring and Facilities Solutions Division. You will perform maintenance and minor repairs on equipment while providing exceptional customer service.

This role offers opportunities for career advancement within our Service Department. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, strong mechanical aptitude, and basic electrical equipment knowledge, along with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental flooring equipment.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Perform repairs on rental flooring equipment.

As a Service Technician at United Rentals supporting our Flooring and Facilities Solutions Division, you will use your skills to perform maintenance tasks as well as minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner. Like every member of our team, we will rely on you to provide exceptional customer service to our customers.

What you'll do:

• Perform maintenance checks on rental flooring equipment before and after use

• Report machine condition to Management

• Perform repairs of rental flooring equipment as needed, including checking electrical continuity, wiring faults and tagging of equipment for rental ready status

• Demonstrate equipment for customers

• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts

• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

• Basic knowledge of electrical equipment

• Strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable to position

• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills

• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
