United Rentals is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and repair flooring equipment, ensuring safe, reliable operation for customers. You’ll perform inspections, report issues, and demonstrate equipment while supporting delivery and pickup of gear.

The role emphasizes strong mechanical skills, basic electrical knowledge, and excellent customer service in a fast-paced team environment. Safety-sensitive position under the collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifikationen

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Basic knowledge of electrical equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools.

As a Service Technician at United Rentals supporting our Flooring and Facilities Solutions Division, you will use your skills to perform maintenance tasks as well as minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner. Like every member of our team, we will rely on you to provide exceptional customer service to our customers.

What you'll do:

• Perform maintenance checks on rental flooring equipment before and after use
• Report machine condition to Management
• Perform repairs of rental flooring equipment as needed, including checking electrical continuity, wiring faults and tagging of equipment for rental ready status
• Demonstrate equipment for customers
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Basic knowledge of electrical equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable to position
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Note: This position is governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement. Rate of pay and benefits will be determined by the agreement in place.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
