Job summary

Tecta America Commercial Roofing is seeking a Service Helper to work outdoors on commercial roofs with the Service Foreman. You will assist with basic roofing tasks, climb ladders, and learn various roofing techniques and tools while gaining hands-on training.

The role requires physical stamina, reliability, and the ability to pass a background and drug screening. Starting pay is $15/hour, with potential increases after the initial review period.

Qualifications

• Basic roofing knowledge helpful but not required.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screen.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead technician in identifying and resolving leak sources.
• Install and repair components of flat roof materials and flashings.
• Set up ladders and safety equipment for accessing roof elevations.
• Assist in loading or carrying roofing materials and equipment.
• Work Monday-Friday with occasional overtime when needed.

Commercial Roofing Service Helper Summary: You will be working outdoors on commercial roofs with our Service Foreman. The job will involve climbing ladders, bending, and working with different roofing techniques and tools. You would be trained onsite and there are opportunities to advance as you begin to master the basics.

Starting pay: $15 per hour (Dependent on experience plus potential increase after review period.)

Job Functions

• Assist lead technician in identifying and resolving leak sources
• Installing and repairing various components of flat roof material and flashings
• Setting up ladders and safety equipment for accessing roof elevations
• Assisting in loading or carrying miscellaneous roofing materials and equipment
• Ability to work Monday-Friday with occasional overtime when needed

Preferred

• Knowledge of roof systems including BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC and slope (tile/shingles). Knowledge of these systems is helpful but not required.
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Past residential and/or commercial roofing or construction experience is a plus but not required.

Working Conditions

• Physical surroundings: Field environment with exposure to heights, noise and temperature.
• Physical Effort: Extensive standing, walking, climbing ladders. Frequent lifting, etc
• Lift 50+ lbs
• Travel: Local and surrounding areas
