Job summary

Michaels is seeking an in-store team member in Irvine, CA to assist customers, stock merchandise, and support omni‑channel processes. You will provide friendly service at checkout, educate customers on rewards and VOC surveys, and help keep the store well merchandised.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting and moving stock, and working nights, weekends, and early mornings as needed. Competitive hourly pay is offered, with benefits for eligible associates.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in locating products.
• Provide a fast checkout experience and handle cash to standard.
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments.
• Educate customers about the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with omni-channel processes such as Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Unload trucks, stock merchandise, and maintain planograms (POGs).
• Complete merchandise recovery, including returns and general store recovery to ensure a well-merchandised in-stock store.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and assignment of AD set duties.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies.
• Interact with colleagues in a respectful manner and promote the company’s values.
• Cross-train in custom framing selling and production.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, and reaching.
• Lift heavy boxes and access high shelves via ladder or similar equipment.
• Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 16 years or older.

Compensation

Total Base Pay Range for this Position: $16.90 – $19.70 per hour.
