Position Overview

This position reports to:

Project Manager

Role Description: In this role, you will have the opportunity to support our rapidly growing Data Center's Smart Power Startup and lead all on-site activities for large/complex project site work. Your responsibilities include ensuring cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements during the start-up, construction and/or erection, and commissioning phases. You will manage on-site presence throughout the project, ensuring coordination and smooth execution of all work activities.

Division

This role contributes to the Electrification Smart Power division in North America.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure detailed and up-to-date site Health & Safety (H&S) plans are in place for each work package, compliant with ABB H&S standards.
• Manage subcontractors on site hired by ABB to ensure quality and progress meet delivery dates and standards.
• Plan project on-site activities with the Site Team Lead, including local resources, equipment, and milestones.
• Coordinate agreements between customers and external resources on construction targets, health and safety requirements, and site organization.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, in collaboration with the Service Quality Manager.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in field service and/or project management.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 60% of the time.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of UPS, STS, and PDU equipment site commissioning is preferred.
• Must have existing work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
