The Service Site Manager will manage the safe operation of assigned wind farm and ensure all aspects of the service contract are achieved. This specific role is for the Coopers Gap Wind Farm.

Role Summary

The Service Site Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation, maintenance, and management of a large-scale wind farm. This role oversees a team of wind technicians and technical contractors, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards while maximizing turbine availability and performance. The manager serves as the primary liaison between corporate operations, customer, contractors, and local stakeholders. The role is based at the Coopers Gap Wind Farm in the South Burnett Region, Queensland.

Essential Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:

  • Manage the daily operations of the wind farm, including planned and unplanned maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspections.

  • Monitor turbine performance metrics and work to maximize uptime and energy production.

  • Coordinate with the remote operations center and ensure timely response to alarms and turbine faults.

Team & Personnel Management:

  • Supervise, schedule, and support a team of wind technicians and support personnel.

  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluations for site personnel.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Enforce strict adherence to company and regulatory HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) standards.

  • Lead safety meetings, audits, and incident investigations.

  • Ensure that all personnel and subcontractors comply with site safety rules and protocols

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for landowners, local authorities, vendors, and customers.

  • Coordinate with engineering, asset management, and project teams for upgrades, retrofits, or special projects

Administrative & Financial Management:

  • Manage site budgets, procurement, and inventory of parts and tools.

  • Prepare regular performance and incident reports for senior management.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, and safety records.

Qualifications, Requirements & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Services).

  • Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Customer Service Management.

  • A background in management of Mechanical or Electrical projects.

  • Experience in overall wind farm operations and maintenance is preferred

  • Business management and commercial acumen for profit and loss control, business and financial reporting
