Job description

Sunset Cadillac of Bradenton is a proud member of the Sunset Automotive Group family of new car dealerships in Sarasota and Manatee counties. Our 30+ year shop foreman/lead technician is retiring, and we need a qualified, experienced foreman to step in and lead our professional GM certified automotive service team.

The lead technician/service shop foreman is responsible to keep our service shop turning out quality repairs in an efficient manner. Specific lead tech/foreman duties include:

• Dispatching work fairly to our team of certified GM technicians according to ability, certifications, and workload
• Overseeing workflow and adjusting as necessary to meet anticipated timelines
• Assisting other technicians with difficult repair and/or diagnostic issues
• Handling escalated service issues and difficult repairs
• Completing general auto service maintenance and repairs
• Maintaining and practicing the highest ethical and professional standards
• Maintains a personal demeanor consistent with the Sunset Auto group culture, contributing to a positive, supportive work environment for all employees of the dealership.

In addition, it is Sunset Auto Group's strong commitment to provide our customers with the highest level of customer service. Our ideal candidate will have the following:

• Service team management experience, GM dealership service experience strongly preferred
• Master/A Technician skills and experience, GM dealership service experience strongly preferred
• Proven track record of strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to oversee efficiency of a department and make adjustments and improvements
• Computer proficiency and dispatching experience, warranty experience helpful
